This year Run For The Rodeo Fundraising Committee hosted a barrel race. This barrel race was to attract our local talent in the barrel racing.
The Run For The Rodeo Barrel Race Series races were run @ 6:30 PM on June 27th, July 18th and August 1, 2008.
We had beautiful weather and great ground to run on.
The local girls of all ages entered the races. They needed to attend two of the three races to achieve a two time average.
The two time averages were calculated and the times were entered into a 4-Division category. The top prizes were beautiful Green Crystal Breast Collars and Headstalls, in the top two places of all 4-Divisions.
Every other barrel racer who participated and had a two time average received a Run For The Lynden Rodeo 2008 Halter.

Youth:
Krisiti Lagerwey, Michelle Segerman, Lexi Powers, Kendra Bosscher, Rochelle Murray on two horses.
Open:
Dana Lowe, Holly Fairbrook, Sara Visser, Michelle Rainy, Carlynn Segerman, Annie Lagerwey and Karen Morganthaller.
These fastest six Open (18 and over) and the fastest Youth (17 and under) will run @ the Northwest Washington Fair on Friday afternoon and Friday evening, during the horse events in front of the Grand Stands.
They will also compete at the 2008 Lynden PRCA August 22 and 23rd. The fastest over all time run at the rodeo will win a beautiful Triple Creek Barrel Racing Saddle.
The saddle was donated by Mane Styles Salon, Diamond P Nets, Paul Farms and Whatcom Refridgeration.
