The Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign was first introduced at the 2004 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo when breast cancer survivor, Terry Wheatley asked her son, team roper Wade Wheatley, to wear a pink shirt at one performance. Wade convinced his fellow contestants to join him, so Wrangler Jeans and Shirts quickly produced enough pink shirts for every NFR contestant. All but two contestants wore pink shirts (because of sponsor-related issues) and the organization was started. The 2008 Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night at the Lynden Rodeo will be Saturday, August 23. The Lynden Rodeo is participating to help raise funds for the St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center. We want a sell out performance! We hope you will partner with us to help fight this disease and that you will consider bringing a cancer survivor and their family for a night out filled with fun having a darn good time! Don’t forget to wear pink… that is, if you are Tough Enough to Wear Pink. For more information on breast cancer, go to www.cancer.org. |

The Lynden Rodeo joined the Tough Enough to Wear Pink organization this year and is proudly raising money for our local St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center.
